politics

The two aspects considered here are of political nature:

A diagrammatic account of the municipal finances is given showing where the municipality gets its capital from and how it is spent. By far the largest revenues come from regional transfers for the realisation of long-term public works and large sums are spent for the administration.

A look on the cadastral map reveals the multiplicity of small parcels in and around the historical centres of the village. This characteristic subdivision was already present 150 years ago and is due to the custom of the inhabitants to own several small parcels distant from each other so as to guarantee balanced conditions in the case of a poor harvest on one of the lots. Today, the fractionation often inhibits reasonable interventions in the built fabric.
