Advanced physics laboratory
The advanced physics laboratory I completed in semester 5 and 6. Most reports are written in German, PDF files will be available soon.
- Nachweis und Untersuchung des Piezoeffekts bei Quarz und Bariumtitanat
- Spannungsstabilisierung - Aufbau einer stabilen, regulierbaren Gleichstromquelle
- Harmonische Analyse elektrischer Signale mit verschiedenen Methoden
- Messung des Peltiereffekts an einer Kupfer-Konstantan Lötstelle
- The Franck-Hertz experiment
- Operational amplifiers in audio applications - Construction of a simple signal generator
- Neutronenaktivierung bei Silber und Indium
- Äusserer Photoeffekt bei Kalium: Messung der Austrittsarbeit
Downloads
- vse-0.98-2-unstable.tar.gz (very simple editor): Self written, curses based text editor with some Emacs key bindings and no extras at all.
- wavelet-denoise-0.1.tar.gz (GIMP plugin): The wavelet denoise plugin for The GIMP is an algorithm copied and slightly altered from the UFRaw program [Udi Fuchs] (which inherited the algorithm from dcraw [Dave Coffin]). It reduces noise in an image. Instead of denoising all RGB channels at once, the plugin implementation allows to denoise the RGB channels individually and - even (a lot) more useful - to denoise the YCbCr channels individually. The YCbCr conversion is nearly lossless as the internal calculations are done in floating point numbers and rounding errors are avoided. Because the algorithm is a wavelet operation the processing is quite fast.
