This web application visualizes accessibility to public transport stations. The landing page displays network isochrones for six transport modes, showing travel times within Zurich to the nearest station. To view point-based isochrones from a specific train station—available for locations beyond Zurich—switch to the dynamic page and either click on a station or enter its name.
Network Isochrones show monomodal travel times from random points across Zurich to the best public transport station, considering POIs, proximity, and station relevance. The brighter the color, the less accessible is the location. These precomputed results assist in planning and can be paired with demographic data.
Point isochrones show accessibility from a fixed location. For stations in Zurich, high-accuracy monomodal isochrones are precomputed. For other stations across Switzerland, multimodal isochrones can be computed in under 30 seconds. Click a station or enter its name to view.
