Real-Time Organ Assessment

To minimize ischemia related complications in solid organ transplantation, we have developed a method to measure mitochondrial damage prior to transplantation in real time. A sensor prototype was used to assess extended criteria liver grafts and allowed for discrimination of organs, that were not suitable for transplant.
