Approach
In Tsybizova Group, the multidisciplinary expertise combines careful design and synthesis of the desired model systems, application of tandem mass spectrometry for reactivity studies and ion spectroscopy for structural characterization of reactive intermediates. The experiments are supported by computational modelling for an enhanced understanding of reactivity. This approach provides excellent training for students: over the course of their projects, they get involved in both experimental and theoretical work and acquire experience in several disciplines.
